Welcome to RK Ferry. By accessing our website and using our ferry ticketing services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.
1. Definitions
- "RK Ferry", "we", "our", "us" refers to the ferry ticketing service operator
- "Customer", "you", "your" refers to the person making the booking or travelling
- "Ticket" refers to the electronic ferry ticket purchased through our platform
- "Service" refers to ferry transportation between Kuala Perlis and Langkawi
- "Booking" refers to the reservation and purchase of ferry tickets
2. Booking and Payment
2.1 Making a Booking
- All bookings are subject to availability
- You must provide accurate personal information for all passengers
- A booking is confirmed only upon successful payment and receipt of confirmation email
- Each passenger must have a valid ticket for travel
2.2 Payment Terms
- All prices are displayed in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR)
- Payment must be made in full at the time of booking
- We accept: Online Banking (FPX), Credit/Debit Cards, E-Wallets, and Counter Payment
- Counter/Bank Transfer payments must be verified before tickets are confirmed
2.3 Pricing
- Prices may vary based on travel date, time, and passenger type
- Adult: 12 years and above
- Child: 2-11 years old
- Infant: Below 2 years (free, no seat allocated)
- Prices are subject to change without prior notice
3. Travel Requirements
3.1 Check-in
- Passengers must arrive at the terminal at least 30 minutes before departure
- Present your e-ticket (printed or digital) and valid identification
- Late arrivals may be denied boarding without refund
3.2 Identification
Valid identification is required for all passengers:
- Malaysian Citizens: MyKad (IC) or MyKid
- Foreigners: Passport
- Identification must match the name on the ticket
3.3 Travel Documents
- Ensure you have all necessary travel documents for your destination
- For international travel to Langkawi, non-Malaysians may require visa or entry permits
- We are not responsible for denied boarding due to insufficient documentation
4. Baggage Policy
4.1 Baggage Allowance

4.2 Prohibited Items
The following items are prohibited on board:
- Weapons, firearms, and explosives
- Flammable materials and gases
- Illegal drugs and substances
- Hazardous chemicals
- Live animals (except service animals with prior approval)
- Items exceeding size/weight limits
5. Passenger Conduct
Passengers must:
- Follow all crew instructions and safety announcements
- Remain seated during boarding and docking
- Wear life jackets when instructed
- Not consume alcohol excessively or use illegal substances
- Not behave in a disruptive or threatening manner
- Not smoke on board (including e-cigarettes)
- Supervise children at all times
We reserve the right to refuse boarding or remove passengers who violate these rules.

7. Schedule Changes and Delays
7.1 Schedule Changes
- Ferry schedules may change due to weather, tides, or operational reasons
- We will notify passengers of significant changes via email/SMS
- Passengers may rebook or request a refund for changes exceeding 2 hours
7.2 Delays
- We are not liable for delays caused by weather, sea conditions, or circumstances beyond our control
- No compensation is provided for delays, but we will assist with rebooking if needed
8. Liability and Limitations
8.1 Our Liability
- We will exercise reasonable care in providing safe transportation
- Liability for loss, damage, or injury is limited as permitted by Malaysian law
- We are not liable for consequential losses (missed connections, accommodation costs, etc.)
8.2 Passenger Responsibility
- You are responsible for your own belongings and valuables
- Lost or damaged items are your responsibility unless caused by our negligence
- Report any loss or damage immediately to crew or counter staff
8.3 Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform due to:
- Natural disasters, severe weather, or acts of God
- Government actions, war, or civil unrest
- Strikes, lockouts, or labor disputes
- Epidemics, pandemics, or health emergencies
- Any circumstances beyond our reasonable control
9. Intellectual Property
- All content on our website (text, images, logos) is our property or licensed to us
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify our content without permission
- The RK Ferry name and logo are registered trademarks
10. Website Use
10.1 Acceptable Use
When using our website, you agree not to:
